Drawing and painting since she was able to hold a brush, Andrea Whitt’s life has always revolved around the arts. At the age of nine Andrea discovered her musical outlet in the viola. While continuing to develop her drawing and painting skills, Andrea completed her master’s degree in viola performance from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Andrea moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduation and began working immediately as a free-lance visual artist and musician. Besides various art shows and commissioned work, as a violist Andrea has appeared with major orchestras and bands, on television and recordings at venues including the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Andrea’s greeting card creations, Alto Designs, spawned from years of making personal greeting cards for friends and family. Using ink and watercolor, Andrea picks simple but meaningful images that can symbolize a variety of occasions.
